Q: Biggest difference in training for this fight?

ANSWER: It’s been the same as my last few fights; just trying to push as hard as I can.

Q: What professional titles have you held?

ANSWER: Synergy FC 205 title, Peak FC 205 title.

Q: Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports?

ANSWER: MMAXFC 205 champ, Fight Hard MMA 265 champ.

Q: Any belts/ ranks in grappling disciplines?

ANSWER: BJJ purple belt

Q: What fight do you consider to be the key fight of your career and why?

ANSWER: I think my UFC debut against Alonzo Menifield was a pivotal fight in my career. Going the distance in a back and forth fight with a seasoned UFC veteran was extremely important for me and helped show me what I am going to become capable of.

Q: Who is your favorite fighter and why?

ANSWER: My favorite fighter of all time is Nick Diaz. I discovered him when I was 12 and he was finishing up his Strikeforce run and coming over to the UFC again. I thought his persona and fighting style was the coolest thing ever.

Q: Do you have any heroes outside of fighting?

ANSWER: Kobe Bryant is my all time favorite athlete, I grew up playing basketball and I am a huge Lakers fan. Another would be my grandfather Pete White for his determination and work ethic.

Q: Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for?

ANSWER: I would use my platform to encourage those dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues to speak up and seek support, and to support organizations with a similar mission.

Q: Personal Life / Background:

ANSWER: I enjoy basketball and soccer, and I’m a LA Lakers and Everton FC fan. I played basketball in college at Drury University and in high school I was an all-state basketball and soccer player and set my high school Greenwood Laboratory School’s all-time scoring record with 2,235 points. I have a beautiful wife named Paige, two beautiful daughters named Rainy and Josie, and a Cairn Terrier named Rory.
