Q & A

Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?

ANSWER: I started in 2018. I thought I could get into the Olympics for wrestling and I found fighting instead. I have been in love with it ever since.

Q: Training:

ANSWER: 9:30-11:30 pro practice; Strength and conditioning afterwards or one on ones. Jiu-jitsu in the afternoons

Q: What ranks and titles have you held?

ANSWER: I was a state champion in the 100-meter, 4th in state for high school wrestling. I played college football and ran track. I also ran for the USVI team in the 2012 pre-Olympic qualifiers.

Q: Do you have any heroes?

ANSWER: My family are my heroes. Everyone moved from Trinidad to St Thomas and built something that could potentially last for generations. Their work ethic and dedication to what they love is amazing and I feel that is where I get my grit from. Fighting wise, my coaches and all that they have sacrificed and done to get where they are is inspiring.

Q: What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?

ANSWER: It has been the ultimate goal to be tested by the best. The UFC has the best, so to be in the UFC is the ultimate challenge.

Q: Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?

ANSWER: I did go to college but I stopped to pursue MMA.

Q: What was your job before you started fighting?

ANSWER: Owner/operator truck driver.
