Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?

ANSWER: I started wrestling when I was 14, started kickboxing at 18, and I fell in love with it because I was naturally good at the sport.

Q: Training

ANSWER: I do two to three sessions a day between strength training, pad work and MMA drills.

Q: What ranks and titles have you held?

ANSWER: 2012 IBJJF absolute purple belt, no Gi world champion, 4x King of the cage Lightweight / Jr. Welterweight Champ.

Q: Do you have any heroes?

ANSWER: Not necessarily, but I do have a lot of people I've looked up to that have pushed me to do better and have been a positive influence in my life.

Q: What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?

ANSWER: It means everything to me to compete at the highest level and compete with the best of the best. It's been a personal goal for a long time and I'm blessed to finally be here.

Q: Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?

ANSWER: I did some college but never earned a degree.

Q: What was your job before you started fighting?

ANSWER: I used to be a cabinet installer and did finished carpentry, then I opened my own gym in Victorville 2010 and I've been teaching students from 3 ½ to adult ever since.
