Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?
ANSWER:
I took some boxing classes in 2012, but just for fun. I didn't take it seriously until I finished my schooling. I was very focused on that until I finished. In 2015 I got into the working life and I started fighting while I was working.
Q: What titles have you held?
ANSWER:
LFA strawweight title.
Q: Who is your favorite fighter and why?
ANSWER:
Alexander Volkanovski, I think he is very aggressive and smart when he fights, and he is a great human outside the octagon too.
Q: Do you have any heroes?
ANSWER:
My mom is my biggest hero in life, she raised my brother and me alone through adversity and gave us the best example.
Q: What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC?
ANSWER:
It means that dreams can be possible. I thought this was something completely impossible, but I kept trying and trying. And today I am here, and I came to stay.
Q: What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career?
ANSWER:
My first defeat taught me a lot about myself as a fighter. It freed me from a great burden that came with that undefeated record, and that made me reborn and mature in my knowledge of martial arts.
Q: Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
ANSWER:
Yes, I have a Psychology degree.
Q: What was your job before you started fighting?
ANSWER:
I was working in a restaurant as waitress.

ANSWER:
The desire to fulfill the plan that God has for me, my family and the new generation of Venezuelan fighters who need inspiration and guidance.

Q: Tell us about your life outside of fighting:
ANSWER:
My family is my rock, my dog Nala is my best friend and we’ve been together for 14 years, moving around different countries. I love music, sign, go to concerts, enjoy live musicians playing. I like to teach MMA seminars and traveling.
Q: What is one thing you want UFC fans to know about you?
ANSWER:
So the idea behind my nickname “La Fiera” is more than just fighting inside an octagon; it means having that fighting fire and giving our best at everything we do in life, while helping others in the process.
