ANSWER: Nickname came from a good friend of mine that just started calling me "BorderBoy" when I started fighting because the basketball team from my high school were called Border Boyz; the school was next to the Mexican border, and I would cross every day for school and practice.

ANSWER: I’ve always had the support from my family, brothers, sister and my parents. When I was around 6-7 years old, my parents got deported back to Mexico. It was tough for them to give something, a good future to their kids. I’m proud of my dad; he always gave us the best possible life out there; he never gave up. When I was 8 years old, I was introduced to wrestling in Tijuana, Mexico. My Coach Chacon, he taught me everything I could know in wrestling, helped me so much when there were times I thought about quitting. Huge part of the guy I am right now, and I’m not only speaking about wrestling. He made me the most disciplined, loving and hard-working person I could be. I wouldn’t be anything I am if it wasn’t because of him. My brothers and parents have guided me and supported me so much that they made it easier for me.
