Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?

ANSWER: I started training MMA six years ago, and the reason why I started fighting is because I wanted to test myself. Already being a high-level grappler, I know I’m special and have what it takes to be a champion.

Q: What ranks and titles have you held?

ANSWER: I’m six-time jiu-jitsu world champion in IBJJF and Abu Dhabi pro.

Q: Do you have any heroes?

ANSWER: Many heroes like Demian Maia, Sheetara (Mayra Bueno Silva), Pedro Munhoz.

Q: What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC?

ANSWER: It means everything in the current stage of my career. It’s everything I’ve been working for, and where I belong, but it is just the beginning of a great journey.

Q: Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?

ANSWER: I went to college for law school, but didn’t end up exercising it. But I specialized in sales and consulting.

Q: What was your job before you started fighting?

ANSWER: I was a competing professional in jiu jitsu, traveling the world to competitions and seminars.

Q: Specific accomplishments in amateur competition?

ANSWER: Not really - only fought one amateur fight and won.
