Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?

ANSWER: I started BJJ at 8 years old to lose weight because I was too fat, and also to learn how to defend myself.

Q: Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports?

ANSWER: 3x Brazilian Champion and 2x Bahia State Champion in BJJ.

Q: Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines?

ANSWER: BJJ black belt.

Q: Any belts/ranks in striking disciplines?

ANSWER: Muay Thai Red Kruang.

Q: What has been your toughest fight to date and why?

ANSWER: Every fight has its hardships, but my second fight in amateur boxing was the toughest one. I hit the guy nonstop, and he kept pushing forward.

Q: Who is your favorite fighter and why?

ANSWER: Jon Jones. He understood how MMA works better than anyone; the most versatile and malicious fighter in history.

Q: What was your job before you started fighting?

ANSWER: Fighting has always been my job.

Q: Origin of nickname:

ANSWER: My name would be the same as my grandfather, who's called Francisco, so my brother started calling me Xicao which is a nickname in the augmentative, because he thought I would be big. My parents decided not to name me Francisco, but my brother kept calling me that way and it stuck.

Q: Personal Life / Background:

ANSWER: I like music and reading, I don't have any kids yet and I'm very attached to my family. Six years ago, I injured my shoulder, broke my collarbone and had a rupture of every ligament in the shoulder. Many doctors said I'd never fight again because
