Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?

ANSWER: When I was a nine-year-old, I made a deal with my parents. In return for less study time, I took judo lessons.

Q: What ranks and titles have you held?

ANSWER: Brown belt in jiu-jitsu.

Q: What would it mean for you to fight in the UFC?

ANSWER: I changed to MMA so I can try to make a living doing it, so this is the ticket I need to win. But first, I have to win this ticket to get to the UFC, to change my life.

Q: Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?

ANSWER: No, but I did attend technical school and studied automotive maintenance.

Q: What was your job before you started fighting?

ANSWER: BJJ instructor and I also did work as a security guard.
