Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?

ANSWER: I started training back in high school. I remember watching the UFC and telling people that if I don’t play for the Pittsburgh Pirates, I’m going to fight for the UFC.

Q: What professional titles have you held?

ANSWER: Pinnacle Championships Middleweight Champion

Q: Any accomplishments in amateur combat sports?

ANSWER: Two-time Iron Tiger Middleweight Champion, two-time IT Fight Series champ and Golden Gloves state runner up

Q: Any belts/ranks in grappling disciplines?

ANSWER: Purple belt in BJJ

Q: Any belts/ranks in striking disciplines?

ANSWER: Black belt at whoop yo ass

Q: What has been your toughest fight to date and why?

ANSWER: Fluffy Hernandez; my first fight in the UFC. Short notice and the guy pushed a hell of a pace.

Q: Who is your favorite fighter and why?

ANSWER: Jon “Bones” Jones. Tall, skinny and bad ass.

Q: Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?

ANSWER: I completed my degree at Slippery Rock University. I majored in psychology and minored in philosophy.

Q: What was your job before you started fighting?

ANSWER: I worked everything from construction to waiting tables, from bouncing/bartending to fast food. Anything I could do that allowed me to train as much as possible.

Q: Personal Life/Background:

ANSWER: Played baseball for 12 years, went to college for football. I live in Colorado now and have become addicted to snowboarding and mountain biking. I'm the middle child of six.
