Q & A
Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?
ANSWER:
Happenstance. In 2012, my brother needed someone to wrestle with for his amateur title fight in Kansas. I was home for the fall, deciding on going back to school in the spring and was an All-State wrestler in high school. A fight fell out and he asked if I wanted to fight. I took a fight after only training a week and a half and got hooked in the sport.

Losing scholarship in college, becoming homeless and having to battle back to the life I wanted to make. In the UFC, versus Mokaev; I was battling personal demons and mental fatigue.
Q: Who is your favorite fighter and why?

My favorite martial artist is Max Holloway. He’s free in there and has found a way to make a fight out of every competition. His career is the one I would like to see myself emulate the most. Samart Payakaroon, Pernell Whitaker, Dom Cruz and Jon jones. Defensive and intellectuals of the craft!
